a few shots from my instagram feed recently. i won’t pretend that they’re all from this week, because let’s face it- they’re not! think of this as more of a highlight reel from the last few weeks… :)

we signed the lease on our very own little love nest! it’s a sweet little house that we’ll be moving into after the wedding. combining our two small apartments into one even smaller house is going to be an adventure, for sure- and i can’t wait!

spring is in full bloom around here! just look at this gorgeous flowering bush outside James’ apartment. last weekend i was mentioning to some friends that i haven’t had any allergy symptoms so far this year- yep, totally jinxed myself, because the past few days have been brutal with the headaches, the sneezing and the sniffling. at least there are beautiful things to look at while we suffer from all the pollen!

we had a nice little cookout to celebrate James’ birthday with some friends on Saturday. it was a great success! last year i planned a similar cookout as a surprise for James… it went well, but this year was SO MUCH BETTER- especially since he was around to help with the planning and shopping and prepping. :)

he requested a lemon raspberry cheesecake, so i made this baby. yes, i realized i posted about it yesterday. but i’m just so excited that the drippy sauce turned out so beautifully that i had to post it again. :) and once i get the recipe written out, you’ll probably see it again! i’ve gotta use these money shots, people.

on Sunday we went out just-the-two-of-us to celebrate. and wouldn’t you know it, there was an Easter brunch special at the Melting Pot. and the dessert fondues on Easter include Peeps. oh yes they do. i want to go back to there.
